Your payroll data, treated like payroll data
Names, addresses, salaries, National Insurance numbers, bank details — payroll is some of the most sensitive data a business holds. Here is how Taxriva protects it.
Encryption everywhere
All traffic between your browser and Taxriva is encrypted with TLS, and payroll data is encrypted at rest. Credentials are stored hashed — never in plain text.
Account security
Two-factor authentication, session controls and role-based access let you decide exactly who in your business — or your accountancy practice — can see and do what.
UK data residency
Taxriva stores customer payroll data in UK-based data centres. Payroll data is personal data — where it lives matters, and we are explicit about it.
Audit trails
Payroll runs, filings and administrative changes are logged, so there is always an answer to "who changed this, and when?" — the question every accountant eventually asks.
Least-privilege operations
Internal access to production systems is restricted, logged and reviewed. Support staff see customer data only when you ask us to help and only for as long as it takes.
Tested calculations
Statutory calculations are verified against HMRC’s published test data each tax year before April changes go live — accuracy is a security property when the output is people’s pay.
GDPR and your obligations
When you run payroll in Taxriva, you are the data controller for your employees’ data and Taxriva processes it on your instructions. We support your UK GDPR obligations with export and deletion on request, a clear privacy policy, and data processing terms for employers and accountants in practice.
Have a security question we have not answered here — a due-diligence questionnaire, a data processing agreement, or a specific technical control? Ask us directly; straight answers are the policy.
Responsible disclosure
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in Taxriva, please contact us with the details. We investigate every report and will acknowledge you promptly.
